Vetting Tiers

Every participant on Petroforum carries a visible vetting tier. Your tier signals your credibility to Petroforum when your submission is reviewed in the compatibility ranking. The higher your tier, the more weight your submission carries in the matching engine and the more qualified the matches you receive.

Tiers T3 through T5 are backed by Business Partner Vetting, an independent document review service that confirms identity, corporate structure, banking relationships, financials, beneficial ownership, and real assets. Each step adds a layer of independently verifiable credibility. No tier is required to enter the matching pool, but higher tiers open more doors.

BPV Foundation verification: identity and corporate documents reviewed

BPV Standard verification: adds banking, financials, and UBO

Adds an active banking relationship, two years of reviewed financials, and a full beneficial ownership declaration to the Foundation baseline. The tier most counterparties require before opening a deal thread.

The highest credibility signal on the platform. Adds AML and sanctions clearance, verified real assets, and a full institutional-grade due diligence review. Reserved for participants transacting at institutional scale.
