How It Works

Petroforum is a procedural compatibility routing engine for petroleum trade. Sellers submit their full transaction procedure. Buyers describe what they will and will not accept. The platform scores compatibility across eight dimensions: verification sequence, payment terms, tank access, buyer risk conditions, and more. Every active pair is ranked by execution probability.

There is no self-serve board. Petroforum reviews the ranked pairs and decides who to match. No match reaches a participant without review. This is intentional: the platform replaces noise with structured, procedure-compatible matches that have a real chance of closing.

Participants are identified to counterparties only by first name and vetting tier. No other identity information is shared at any stage.

Streamlined Process

   Create an Account

   Sign up with your email address and confirm it in one click. No application form, no waitlist. You are on the platform and building your profile from day one.

2. 02

   Complete Your Profile

   Add your company website to reach T2. Tiers T3–T5 are earned through Business Partner Vetting, an independent review of your identity, corporate structure, banking relationships, financials, and assets. Your tier is a direct signal of the quality of matches you receive. See all vetting tiers →

3. 03

   Submit Your Procedure

   Sellers upload their full transaction procedure document or fill the structured eight-section form directly. Petroforum uses AI to extract your verification sequence, payment terms, tank access conditions, friction metrics, and seller identity into a standardised grid. Buyers complete a tolerance questionnaire that captures what they will and will not accept. Petroforum reviews every submission before it enters the matching pool.

   Petroforum Scores Compatibility

   The compatibility engine scores every active seller procedure against every active buyer profile across eight dimensions. Contradictions are flagged, relaxation suggestions are generated, and pairs are ranked by execution probability. Petroforum reviews the ranked pairs and decides who to match. No match reaches a participant without review.

5. 05

   Receive a Match and Connect

   When Petroforum initiates a match, a private thread opens for both parties. You confirm fee terms, then both parties acknowledge the NCNDA/IMFPA inside the thread. Participants are identified only by first name and vetting tier throughout. The conversation is direct between buyer and seller.
